Skatefresh Holland

From 9-5-06 till 14-5-06 I joined the second Skatefreshtour. A really nice tour, perfectly organised with a lot of participants from 20 different country's.

At 9 May we stay overnight at a campingplace in Wassenaar.
Early in the morning at May 10th we went with two busses to Zyflich, Germany. (just across the border with Germany) There the Tour really started.

In 6 (later 7) groups we skated through the city of Nijmegen, then over the dikes to Dodenwaard where we took the ferry. From Druten, with the ferry to Tiel, and from there to the campingplace in Maurik.
And group 3A was so happy that they could do an extra round to Rossum and back, and skated 86 km the very first day;-)

Thursday 11 May we left Maurik and skated (almost;-)) through the city of Utrecht and from their along the river the Veght. After 64 km we reached the camping in Loenen aan de Veght. In the evening we have a diner in a nice restaurant in Loenen.

Friday 12 May was an easy one ;-)(we thought so !!!)
From Loenen, through Muiden we reached Amsterdam after 33 km very early in the afternoon.
We have enough time to relaxed at the campingplace Zuiderzee.
At 16.30 we put on our skates, and skated to the Vondelpark to have a diner by my favorite (Thais) restaurant.
After we get our Skatefresh-shirts the FNS started, and we have a lot of fun ;-)
After the tour and a quick drink in the Vondeltuin, we rolled to the boat for a lovely sightseeing tour late in the evening.
(so pity that most people were so tired !!)

At Saturdaymorning it was not so easy to get up in time for the most people.
But we have to, because this day was the longest tour (but not for group3A offcourse ;-))
We skated nearby Haarlem, have a lunchbreak at Heemstede where it start to rain...
And you know what, you can skate with rain.... it's really no problem.
After half an hour the weather was again really nice, and we reached the tulipfields with the orgasfalt ;-)
After 75 km we reached Noordwijkerhout where we had a nice drinking and pizzaparty....
Did you ever see for 800m-- euro's pizza's????

Sundaymorning 14 May... already the last skatingday ;-( The group split up again and now we where group 3A1 or 3A2!!
From Noordwijkerhout, along the see, through the city of Leiden where we didn't drink a coffee ;-) to a nice restaurant at the watersite off....( forgotten the name).
After lunchtbreak to Den Haag where the tour ended after 40 km..

The big question is now: Where will take place Skatefres 2007 ??? Belgium, France or India ( where the people really rocks...)
